welcome to the 2nd half of 2007!

Well, the 1st Half of 2007 has just flown by, so I thought I’d take a few minutes to share with you some of our highlights.

- Teamwork! 54 wins, 139 podium, and 277 top-ten finishes by our Junior and Masters.
o James LaBerge (14) and Charlie Avis (16) are both NCNCA district Criterium champions (Jr 15-16 and Jr 13-14)
o Davis Bentley (15) won the NCNCA district Jr 15-16 Time Trial championships
o Marco Hellman (46) won the NCNCA district Elite Time Trial championships
o Kevin Metcalfe (47) won the NCNCA district M45-49 Trial championships
o Kent Bostick (54) won the Tennessee State Elite Criterium championships
o Tom Doughty (55) won the Illinois State M55-64 Criterium championships
o And, we still have ½ a year to win more!

- Opportunities!
o Ben Barsi-Rhyne (18) spent 3 weeks in Europe racing for the USA National Team, including a trip to Czechoslovakia
o Joel Shaffer (15) and Charlie Avis (16) will head over to Belgium right after the USA Cycling Junior Road National Championships
o Both Ben and Joel are in Colorado Springs right now at the USA Cycling Junior Track National Championships
o Micah Herman (18) attended the USA Cycling Western Regional Junior Camp in Texas in early June, earned a spot on the Tour ‘labitibi team and will head to Quebec, Canada straight from the USA Cycling Junior Road National Championships
o A team camp was held in June to provide the juniors with some testing, teamwork and just hanging out together. Great stuff.
o Joel, Davis, Marcus, Davis, Micah, Charlie, James and Chris all plan to compete at the USA Cycling Junior National Championships next week.
